The edible sector in garden centres is one of the fastest growing sectors in retailing.

It has now been given an extra shove. On the weekend of the 20th March, President Obama planted a vegetable garden at the White House, this was encouraged by Michele Obama who is an advocate of home grown food. The aim being to provide food for the family and official functions.
